Darren McFadden For The Heisman!
What? Did anything else happen in the world today BESIDES the Arkansas/LSU football game? Because that's all that has entered into our consciousness, pretty much. The game, itself, took forever, and was played down to the very wire in THREE overtimes, ending with an intercepted pass in the endzone, and signifying a 50-48 victory for unranked Arkansas over TOP-ranked Louisiana State.
And unlike last year, our boys have come home with The Boot, and a nearly assured slot in the Cotton Bowl. Alex is beside himself. Darren McFadden is hopefully, after being runner-up last year AS A SOPHOMORE, back in the running for the Heisman Trophy. Alex may have more to add to this post later, but for now, I'll leave you with the email that arrived in my in-box approximately 3 minutes after the end of the game, from Football Fanatics of Jacksonville, FL:

I'm surprised it took 3 minutes! Congrats to the Hogs! What a game! I thought of calling you guys but knew you wouldn't hear the phone ringing over the joyous screaming. You're right McFadden is a stud and should be right in the hunt for the Heisman.
Oh I sooo just ordered that shirt for Rob. His BFF is a HARD CORE LSU fan and even traveled to Baton Rouge to the game today. He has done nothing but give Rob grief about LSU so Rob will be wearing his LS-WHO? shirt with pride!!

Has Alex been up since the crack of dawn watching Sportscenter? Me too, but just to see when the Nebraska coach gets fired.... :-(
Wow, they are quick on their advertising:o) That was a great game and I was so glad to see Arkansas win, if for nothing else than to beat LSU!!! That's coming from a true Gator fan!!
