Thank You, Veterans

In my mind, I'm awash in a sea of little paper poppies, standing with hand over heart, at a parade in your honor.

I had an elaborate Veterans Day post, inspired by this "Armistice Day" photo, but I lost it in trying to blog directly from flickr. Anyone else having that problem?

  1. Amen!!! That is a great photo and I salute all the veterans that have fought for us to have our nation free and strong as we are today.

  2. My daughter and I purchased our poppy from a Vetran of the Second World War and when we walke away I told me daughter, that that man served in the War...
With that she ran back and looked him in the eye and said'Thank you'
It made me weep with pride...

  3. What a great post! With my brother finally home, I feel more love for all our veterans and our military. The Veteran's Day service at church on Saturday really made me cry.
