et Voila!

And let the decree go out unto all nations on this day: There shall be no more puppies at Impulse Farm for a looooooong time!! (But really, aren't they precious?) The final count was 3 boys and one lone little girl. We won't know for a while who will be blue and who will be silver.

  1. So... uhhh... like how many puppies have you got running around now, and what are you going to do with them all?

  5. Dave2: In showdogs, especially in breeds that have small litters, they're pretty much all promised before they're even bred or born. Although, with this second litter having 3 boys, I am short one pet home. And we only breed when we want something to show, so we will keep something from each litter to go on with, assuming they are breed/show quality. And the total is 7 now, which means we are keeping 2! That will bring the total Ninja Poodle count up to...9.

Erin, you are SO right, and I think I told you that before you even got Happy!! Poodles are like the Borg. You will be assimilated, and resistance is futile. ;-)

Jane, thanks--I got discouraged reading comments about how lame people are who use "generic" templates (namely Blogger), but until I do it for awhile and figure out just what I want, how can I just start designing? And I wasn't exactly born knowing how, either--obviously! But thank you for the compliment. It means a lot, coming from you.

  6. Actually... I must be a different Erin than you're thinking of. My poodle is Bobby. :) But still, I think that I'm headed for MPS!

  7. Congratulations on your nomination.

But stop with the puppies... I already dislike having to have cats instead, no need to rub it in.

    Sheesh. ;)

  8. Cute puppies and you're a finalist, too. Things are popping out all over. I can't wait to vote for you.

  9. To be blunt...

Ninety-percent or more of the blogs I run into (via Blog Explosion) don't interest me. Most are plagued by the absence of a "good voice." [Editor hat on.] Most are bland, characterized by lifeless writing.

Many have overdone it with "cute," using tiny fonts or hard-on-the eye colors. (People do this with fiction submissions too. If I can't read it or it hurts my eyes, it's not worth the effort.)

A few typos are fine, but "stff thet reeds lik this" gets the Next Blog click, quick.

A pretty template will catch my eye, but it only takes a few seconds for me to decide whether or not I want to read on. Few make the cut.

So ultimately using a out-of-the box template is irrelevant.

    Content, especially cute puppies, counts!

Congrats on the B.O.B. thing and good thoughts your husband's way.

  10. Sorry, Erin--I'm coming to visit you now! The "other" Erin's SP puppy has his own blogspot blog, called "Happy Is My Puppy." But yes, MPS (Multiple Poodle Syndrome, for the rest of you) is inevitable!

Pat--thanks for the "pat." HAHAHAHA! How can I lose, what with humor like that? I want to learn how to do some of the stuff you do on your blog, and Laurie, you too--how do you "rise above" the basic Blogger template? Ah, I shall learn.

Aw, Dan...I shall think of you whenever I hug a puppy. I shall not, however, snog the puppy.

Doug--yes, things are good, if hectic. Thanks!

Laurie, teach me how to be a motorcycle mama.
